Survival Packet
Background: You are in a remote wilderness area located in upstate New York in the fall. You have no metals, plastics, any other man-made things other than the clothes you wear. You each have a pair of pants, t-shirt, sweatshirt, jacket and a lighter. Your environment consists of pine and hardwood forests with wild animals such as birds, deer, raccoons, bears, etc. You have freshwater streams and lakes in your region with fish and other aquatic creatures.
Challenge: You have agreed to live here for two months with no contact with the outside world. Explain how you would survive for these two months. Use written explanations as well as drawings or printed pictures to complete the following pages as if it is a survival guide.
